CloneID: LM26
Antigen Long Description: The original antibody was generated by immunizing rats with lime pectin.
Buffer Composition: PBS with 0.02% Proclin 300.
Available Custom Conjugation Options: AP, HRP, Fluorescein, APC, PE, Biotin Type A, Biotin Type B, Streptavidin, FluoroProbes 647H, Atto488, APC/Cy7, PE/Cy7
Specificity Statement: This antibody is specific for the β-1,6-galactosyl substitution of β-1,4-galactan, a branched galactan epitope associated with pectic rhamnogalacturonan-I located in the inner cell wall regions adjacent to plasma membranes, specific to phloem sieve elements. The antibody requires more than three backbone residues for optimized recognition.
Application Notes (Clone): The binding specificity of this antibody was evaluated via carbohydrate (glycan) microarray screening and ELISA. This antibody was used for indirect fluorescence immunolabeling on various plant organs, including Arabidopsis inflorescence stems, tomato leaf petiole, Miscanthus x giganteus stem, and sugar beet storage roots. Additionally, it was used for immunoelectron microscopy (transmission electron microscopy and immunogold labeling) on transverse sections of Miscanthus stem and garlic bulb cell walls (Torode et al., 2018; PMID: 29150558). This antibody was used for immunohistochemical analysis of cell wall polymers in dissected maize roots (Kozlova et al., 2020; PMID: 32616810).
