Products from BPS Bioscience require a minimum order value above 400€
Encompassing Amino Acids: 1 - 277 (end)
Application: Useful for the study of enzyme kinetics, screening inhibitors, and selectivity profiling.
Assay Conditions: Assayed using BPS's Homogeneous Caspase-3 Assay Kit, Cat. # 80700. Assay conditions: 10 mM HEPES, pH7.4, 10 mM EDTA, 0.05% Chaps, 5 mMDTT, and 20 µM Caspase 3 substrate.Incubate for 30 minutes at roomtemperature. Fluorescence intensity ismeasured at exc380/em500 nm.
Background: Caspase-3 is a member of the caspase (cysteine aspartate protease) family of proteins, and has been shown to be an executioner protein of apoptosis.
Description: Human caspase 3 (CASP3), also known as CPP32 and apopain, a.a. 1 - 277 (end) (GenBank Accession No. NM_004346, var alpha) with C-terminal His-tag, expressed in an E. coli expression system. Procaspase-3 is self-cleaved into two subunits, MW = 17 kDa and 13 kDa, to form the active heterotetrameric complex.
