Application: Useful for for SPR analysis, animal immunization, ELISA, and PK assay.

Assay Conditions: Immobilized Human Claudin18.2 VLP at 5 µg/mL (100 µL/Well).

Background: Claudins are integral membrane proteins and major components of tight junction strands which serve as a physical barrier to prevent solutes and water from passing freely through the paracellular space between epithelial or endothelial cell sheets. The claudin-18 gene has two splice variants: claudin 18.1, which is found primarily in the lung, and claudin 18.2, which is expressed exclusively in the stomach. In claudin 18-deficient studies, claudin 18.1 was identified as a regulator of normal lung homeostasis as its deficiency promoted the proliferative state of malignant cells found in lung adenocarcinomas.1 Therefore, claudin-18.1 may be a potential therapeutic target in cancer. 1

Biological Activity:  Dose response curve for Anti-Claudin18.2 Antibody hFc with the EC50 of ‰¤13 ng/mL determined by ELISA.

Description: Human Claudin-18 (CLDN18) protein (VLP), full length encompassing amino acids 1-261(end). This construct is tag-free and was produced using VLP (virus-like particle) technology.
