Encompassing Amino Acids: 1-220(end)
Application: Useful for for animal immunization and ELISA.
Assay Conditions: Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA.
Background: Claudins are integral membrane proteins and major components of tight junction strands which serve as a physical barrier to prevent solutes and water from passing freely through the paracellular space between epithelial or endothelial cell sheets. Claudin-3 is one of the 27 members of the Claudin family.Claudin-3 interacts with claudin-1 and claudin-5. It also acts as a low-affinity receptor for Clostridium perfringens enterotoxin (CPE) during infection by gram-positive Clostridial bacteria, which are responsible for food poisoning and gastrointestinal illnesses. Recent studies indicate that the protein may be overexpressed in ovarian cancer.
Biological Activity: Immobilized Human CLDN3 at 10 µg/mL can bind Anti-CLDN3 recombinant antibody, the EC50 is <34.37 ng/mL.
Description: Human Claudin-3 (CLDN3) protein (VLP), full length encompassing amino acids 1-220(end). This construct contains a C-terminal His-tag (10xHis) and was produced using VLP (virus-like particle) technology.
Endotoxin Level: <1 EU/µg (determined by LAL method)
Format: Lyophilized powder
Formulation: Lyophilized from a 0.2 µm filtered solution of PBS, 6% Trehalose, pH 7.4.
Reconstitution: It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 µg/mL in ddH2O.
Storage Stability: Stored at -20°C for 2 years. After reconstitution, it is stable at 4°C for 1 week or -20°C for longer (with carrier protein). It is recommended to freeze aliquots at -20°C or -80°C for extended storage.
