Background: Purified human IgA1 lambda may be used as an IgA reference antigen, calibrator, coating protein and blocking agent in a variety of immunoassays including immunodiffusion, immunoelectrophoresis, ELISA, Western blotting, dot-immunobinding assays (DIBA), haemagglutination, and cell-binding assays.
