Applications: Study enzyme kinetics and screen small molecular inhibitors for drug discovery and high throughput (HTS) applications.
Background: The IKKβ (inhibitor of nuclear factor kappa B kinase subunit beta) is a protein subunit encoded by the IKβKβ (inhibitor of kappa light polypeptide gene enhancer in B-cells, kinase beta) gene which activates NF-κB (nuclear factor kappa-light chain enhancer of activated B cells) signaling. NF-κB is a family of transcription factors that regulate gene expression in a variety of tissue types. Mutations in IKKB result in defective NF-κB signaling leading to immunological disorders. Exploring novel mutations in IKKB may elucidate the causation of sporadic and unexplained diseases.
Contraindications: The final concentration of DMSO in the assay should not exceed 1%.
Description: The IKKβ Kinase Assay Kit is designed to measure the kinase activity of IKKβ for screening and profiling applications using Kinase-Glo® MAX as a detection reagent.
Storage Stability: This assay kit will perform optimally for up to 6 months from date of receipt when the materials are stored as directed.
Supplied As: The assay kit comes in a convenient 96-well format, with enough purified recombinant IKKβ kinase, kinase substrate, ATP, and kinase assay buffer for 100 enzyme reactions.
Uniprot: O14920
Warnings: Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
Biosafety Level: Not applicable (BSL-1)
