Additional info: Programmed death-1 (PD-1), also known as CD279, is a type-I transmembrane protein expressed on T-cells, B-cells, and monocytes during activation.1-2 PD-1 and its ligands (PD-L1 and PD-L2) function as an immune checkpoint pathway by regulating T-cell activation and autoimmunity.2 PD-1 labels follicular helper T-cells and is therefore a useful marker for angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma.3-4
