Clone: Polyclonal
Background: The reactivity of the antiserum is restricted to the Fc part of the IgA molecule. In immuno-electrophoresis and radial immunodiffusion, using various antiserum concentrations against normal mouse serum a single precipitin line is obtained which shows a reaction of identity with the precipitin line obtained with purified IgA. No precipitation reaction is obtained with purified IgG, IgM, and IgG/Fab fragments. In precipitating techniques as immunoelectrophoresis and radial immunodiffusion to identify the presence of IgA in mouse serum or other body fluids or to determine its concentration. To prepare an immunoadsorbent for the purification of mouse IgA from serum or plasma. This antiserum is not intended for use in non-precipitating antibody-binding or other highly sensitive assays. For such use labelled and unlabelled cytochemical and immunoassay grade reagents meeting the necessary additional specificity and performance requirements are available.
Source: Highly purified pools of monoclonal IgA isolated from mouse serum. Freund’s complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.
Specificity: Precipitating polyclonal Rabbit antiSerum to Mouse IgA, Fc specific
Formulation: Delipidated, heat inactivated, lyophilized stable whole serum No preservative added, as it may interfere with the antibody activity. Total protein and IgG concentrations in the antiserum are comparable to those of pooled normal rabbit serum. No foreign pr
