Clone: Polyclonal
Background: The defined antibody specificity is directed to IgG1 as tested against mouse sera and a panel of purified homogenous immunoglobulins and at the level of sensitivity of direct immunofluorescence staining methods applied to lymphoid cells with the FITC conjugated form of this product. In immunoelectrophoresis and radial immunodiffusion, using various antiserum concentrations against appropriate concentrations of the immunogen, a single characteristic precipitin line is obtained which shows a reaction of identity with the precipitin lines obtained against mouse serum and the purified monoclonal IgG1. The cytochemical grade of RAM/IgG1/7S allows its use in different types of highly sensitive immunoassays on appropriately treated cell and tissue substrates; in radioimmunoassay; for the production of immunoconjugates with a selected marker; to prepare immunoaffinity adsorbents by coupling to an artificial carrier; in non-isotopic methodology based on solid phase immunochemistry (e.g. ELISA), both as catching antibody and detection reagent; in Western blotting. This product is not pre-diluted. The optimum working dilution of each product should be established by titration before being used.
Source: Pools of highly purified homogenous IgG1 isolated from mouse serum. Freund’s complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.
Specificity: Purified IgG fraction of polyclonal Rabbit antiSerum to Mouse IgG1, subclass specific
Formulation: Purified hyperimmune rabbit IgG lyophilized from a solution in phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH 7.2). No preservative added, as it may interfere with the antibody activity.
