CloneID: GLC82C238
Antigen Long Description: The original antibody was generated by immunizing BALB/ mice in the abdominal cavity with human lung cancer cell line GLC82.
Buffer Composition: PBS with 0.02% Proclin 300.
Chimeric Use Statement: This chimeric rabbit antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse IgG1 format for improved compatibility with existing reagents assays and techniques.
Available Custom Conjugation Options: AP, HRP, Fluorescein, APC, PE, Biotin Type A, Biotin Type B, Streptavidin, FluoroProbes 647H, Atto488, APC/Cy7, PE/Cy7
Uniprot Accession No.: P22626
Specificity Statement: This antibody binds human heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins A2/B1 (hnRNP A2/B1). The hnRNPs are RNA binding proteins and they complex with heterogeneous nuclear RNA (hnRNA). These proteins are associated with pre-mRNAs in the nucleus and appear to influence pre-mRNA processing and other aspects of mRNA metabolism and transport. While all of the hnRNPs are present in the nucleus, some seem to shuttle between the nucleus and the cytoplasm. The hnRNP proteins have distinct nucleic acid binding properties. hnRNPA2/B1 is expressed during proliferation and metastasis of various cancer types and promotes such processes.
Application Notes (Clone): This antibody was used in the immunohistochemical analysis of hnRNP A2/B1 expressed in lung squamous cell carcinoma, alveolar cancer and lung adenocarcinoma tissues. The binding of this antibody to HnRNP A2/B1 antigen was confirmed using western blotting (CN1273489).
