Notes: Acetyl pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating peptide (PACAP) (1-38) is an N-terminally acetylated form of PACAP (1-38) (Item No. 24770).{41742} It binds to the PACAP receptor PAC1 (IC50 = 5.6 nM for the human receptor) and induces calcium mobilization and proliferation of PC12 cells (EC50s = 4.4 and 0.83 nM, respectively) with an efficacy comparable to PACAP (1-38). Acetyl PACAP (1-38) is resistant to degradation by dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP-4) with a 10-fold longer half-life than PACAP (1-38), respectively.
