Product Description: Tropolone is a Tropone derivative with a hydroxyl group at the 2-position, and is the precursor of many Azulene derivatives, such as 2-methylazulene-1-carboxylate. Tropolone is a potent mushroom tyrosinase inhibitor with an IC50 of 0.4 μM. Its inhibitory effect can be achieved by dialysis or excess CU 2+ Reversal[1][2].
