Biological Activity: HC Toxin inhibits HDACs with an IC50 = 30 nM.

Description: HC Toxin is a reversible, cell-permeable inhibitor of HDACs. It is a cyclic tetrapeptide first isolated from C. carbonum, a maize pathogen. It up-regulates the expression of 15-lipoxygenase-1 in colorectal cancer cells and has been shown to induce fetal hemoglobin in human primary erythroid cells.
Format: A crystalline solid
Purity: ≥95% by HPLC.
Solubility: Soluble in methanol, purged with an inert gas. Solubility in methanol isapproximately 10 mg/ml. For organic solvent-free aqueous solutions, prepare by directlydissolving the crystalline compound in aqueous buffers.
Storage Stability: Store at or below -20°C. Solid form is stable at least 12 months from date of receipt, when stored as directed. Do not store aqueous solutions for more than one day.
