Notes: Flucloxacillin is a β-lactam antibiotic.{42992} It is active against clinical isolates of S. aureus (MICs = 0.12-0.25 mg/L). Flucloxacillin (42.3 mg/kg every six hours) decreases vegetation titers in a rat model of aortic valve endocarditis induced by S. aureus. Formulations containing flucloxacillin have been used in the treatment of bacterial infections.
