Clone: TP1/31.
Conjugate: FITC.
Immunogen: Normal Human Peripheral blood lymphocytes.
Storage Buffer: The reagent is provided in aqueous buffered solution containing protein stabilizer, and ≤0.09% sodium azide (NaN3).
Recommended Usage: CD2, clone TP1/31, is a mAb intended for the identification/enumeration of human peripheral T lymphocytes and 90% of the thymocytes using FCM. This reagent is effective for direct IF staining of human tissue for FCM analysis using ≤1 μg/106 cells.
Description: This antibody reacts with the CD2-antigen, which is expressed on human T lymphocytes. The monoclonal antibody reacts with all human peripheral T lymphocytes and 90% of the thymocytes. The monoclonal antibody blocks the rosette-formation of human T lymphocytes with sheep erythrocytes.
50Kd MW lymphocyte surface antigen identified by monoclonal antibodies belonging to the CD2 cluster. The antigen is expressed on all peripheral blood T lymphocytes, majority of thymocytes and malignant cells of T cell origin, including T- ALL cells. Normal B lymphocytes, monocytes or granulocytes do not express surface CD2 antigen. Common ALL cells do not express CD2 antigen.
