Abbreviation: IL-6

Target Synonym: IL6;BSF2;HGF;HSF;IFNB2;CDF;

Target Species: Human

Usage: This ELISA kit applies to the in vitro quantitative determination of Human IL-6 concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.

Tested Sample Types: serum, plasma, other biological fluids

Assay Time: 3.5h

Sensitivity: 0.94 pg/mL

Detection Range: 1.56-100 pg/mL

UNIProt ID: P05231

Test Principle: This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided inthis kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human IL-6. Samples (orStandards) are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specificantibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Human IL-6 and AvidinHorseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate welland incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to eachwell. Only those wells that contain Human IL-6, biotinylated detection antibody andAvidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction isterminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density(OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450±2 nm. The OD value isproportional to the concentration of Human IL-6. You can calculate the concentration ofHuman IL-6 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

Cross reactivity: This kit recognizes Human IL-6 in samples.No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Human IL-6 and analogues was observed
