Clone: Polyclonal
Background: The reactivity of the antiserum is directed to the Fc subunit of the IgG molecule including all subclasses. In immunoelectrophoresis and double radial immunodiffusion, using various antiserum concentrations against normal rat plasma and serum, a characteristic precipitin line is obtained which shows a reaction of identity with the precipitin line obtained with purified IgG. No reaction is obtained with purified IgA, IgM and IgG/Fab fragments or any other serum protein. In immunoelectrophoresis and double radial immunodiffusion to identify the presence of IgG; as secondary antibody to precipitate the immunoglobulin in normal rat serum; to prepare an immunoadsorbent for the production of Ig-free rat serum, plasma or non-Ig preparations.
Source: Purified normal IgG, including all known subclasses, isolated from pooled rat serum. Freund’s complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.
Specificity: Precipitating polyclonal Goat antiSerum to Rat IgG, Fc specific.
Formulation: Delipidated, heat inactivated lyophilized stable whole serum No preservative added, as it may interfere with the antibody activity. Total protein and IgG concentration in the antiserum are comparable to those of pooled goat serum. No foreign proteins adde
