Description: Cytokine. Inhibits inflammatory cytokine production. Synergizes with IL2 in regulating interferon-gamma synthesis. May be critical in regulating inflammatory and immune responses. (www.uniprot.org) Produced in E.coli. Single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 114 amino acids. The ED50 was determined by the dose dependent prolifiration of TF-1 cells and was found to be < 1ng/ml, corr. to a specific activity of >1 x 106.
