Para-Pak® based systems provide standardized procedures for the routine collection, transportation, preservation and examination of stool specimens for intestinal parasites. Kit systems are designed for easy use and afford an excellent means of minimizing the adverse effects of delay in specimen transportation. SAF is a multipurpose fixative/preservative suitable for direct examination, concentration, and permanent stain from the same specimen. It contains a low amount of formalin in order to reduce the exposure of the operator to this substance.
