Background: PALB2 (partner and localizer of BRCA2) interacts with BRCA2 and promotes BRCA2 localization and stability. PALB2 is also known as FANCN. Bi-allelic mutations in PALB2 result in Fanconi anemia disorder and breast cancer susceptibility.
