Clone: Polyclonal
Background: The reactivity of the antiserum is directed to the subclass specific determinants on the Fc subunit of IgG1. It does not react with other IgG2, IgG/Fab fragments, IgM and IgA or any non-Ig protein in bovine serum, as tested by immunoelectrophoresis and double radial immunodiffusion. In precipitating techniques as immunoelectrophoresis and radial immunodiffusion to identify the presence of IgG2 in bovine serum and other body fluids or to determine its concentration.
Source: Pools of purified normal IgG1 isolated from pooled bovine serum. Freund’s complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.
Specificity: Precipitating polyclonal Sheep antiSerum to Bovine IgG2, subclass specific.
Formulation: Delipidated, heat inactivated, lyophilized, stable whole antiserum. No preservative added, as it may interfere with the antibody activity. Total protein and IgG concentrations in the antiserum are comparable to those in pooled sheep serum. No foreign prot
