Description: Growth factor active in angiogenesis and endothelial cell growth, stimulating their proliferation and migration. It binds to the receptor FLT1/VEGFR-1. Isoform PlGF-2 binds NRP1/neuropilin-1 and NRP2/neuropilin-2 in a heparin-dependent manner. (www.uniprot.org) Produced in insect cells. Homodimer, glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 2 x 152 amino acids. Recombinant human PlGF-2 can bind to immobilized rh-sFlt-1 (100ng/well) with a linear range at 0.3 ? 10ng/mL.
