Applications: In vitro and in vivo bioluminescence imaging (BLI) and fluorescence imaging.Use as negative control in NK cytotoxicity assays
Background: RS4;11 is a lymphoblast cell line derived from the marrow of a 32-year-old white female patient with acute lympholastic leukemia (ALL). This cell line has a KMT2A (histone-lysine N-methyltransferase 2A) rearrangement, which despite its low frequency leads to acute leukemia. It expresses HLA-C alleles, that bind the most expressed KIRs (killer-cell immunoglobulin-like receptors) and it is resistant to NK attack. Its characteristics make it an ALL-cell model and an appropriate negative control in NK cytotoxicity assays. The presence of eGFP and luciferase allows for easy assay readouts, making this cell line a convenient choice.
Description: The eGFP/Firefly Luciferase RS4;11 Cell Line are engineered human lymphoblast RS4;11 cells expressing firefly luciferase and enhanced GFP (eGFP) driven by an EF1a promoter. The cells were generated by transduction with Firefly Luciferase-eGFP Lentivirus (BPS Bioscience #78741), which is a SIN (self-inactivating) lentivirus.
Host Cell Line: RS4;11, human lymphoblast cell line, suspension.
Mycoplasma Testing: The cell line has been screened to confirm the absence of Mycoplasma species.
Storage Stability: Cells are shipped in dry ice and should immediately be thawed or stored in liquid nitrogen upon receipt. Do not use a -80°C freezer for long term storage. Contact technical support at support@bpsbioscience.com if the cells are not frozen in dry ice upon arrival.
Supplied As: Each vial contains ~1 x 106 cells in 1 ml of Cell Freezing Medium (BPS Bioscience #79796)
Warnings: Avoid freeze/thaw cycles
Biosafety Level: BSL-1
