Target: CD16.
Clone: 3G8.
Specificity: Anti-CD16 In Vivo Antibody - Low Endotoxin (3G8) recognizes an epitope on Human CD16.
Purification method: This monoclonal antibody was purified using multi-step affinity chromatography methods such as Protein A or G depending on the species and isotype.
Antigen Distribution: CD16 is expressed on the surface of NK cells, activated monocytes, macrophages, and placental trophoblasts in humans.
Background: CD16 is known as low affinity IgG receptor III (Fc gamma RIII) and is expressed as two distinct forms (CD16a and CD16b). CD16a (Fc gamma RIIIA) is a 50-65 kD polypeptide-anchored transmembrane protein. CD16b (Fc gamma RIIIB) is a 48 kD glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored protein. Its extracellular domain is over 95% homologous to that of CD16a, and it is expressed specifically on neutrophils.
Immunogen: Human PMN cells.
Concentration: ≥ 2.0 mg/ml.
Formulation: 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline (PBS) pH 7.4, 150 mM NaCl, without BSA or sodium azide added.
Purity: >95% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC.
Endotoxin: ≤ 1.0 EU/mg as determined by the LAL method.
Aggregation: Aggregation level ≤ 5%.
Use: Products are for research use only. Not for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
