Antigen Long Description: The original antibody was generated by immunizing transgenic mice having human antibody genes with purified monkeypox virus A29L protein.

Buffer Composition: PBS only.

Uniprot Accession No.: V9NS06

Specificity Statement: This antibody binds the A29L protein of the monkeypox virus. Mpox is an infectious disease caused by the monkeypox virus which can be transmitted to humans through physical contact with someone who is infectious, with contaminated materials, or with infected animals. It can cause a painful rash or mucosal lesions which can last 2–4 weeks, enlarged lymph nodes and fever. Monkeypox mortality rates range from 0%-11% in the general population and are higher in young children. In Q3 of 2024, the WHO declared monkeypox a Public Health Emergency of International Concern. This product serves as a powerful tool for related research efforts.

Application Notes (Clone): The original mouse IgG antibody binds monkeypox virus A29L protein with a binding affinity in the sub-nanomolar range. This antibody can be used as a labeling or detection antibody in a double antibody sandwich ELISA in combination with 4E9 as a capture or coating antibody. The sensitivity of detection for this antibody pair is reported to be 0.5ng/ml (CN116284349).
