Specificity Statement: This antibody binds the M1R protein of the monkeypox virus. Mpox is an infectious disease caused by the monkeypox virus which can be transmitted to humans through physical contact with someone who is infectious, with contaminated materials, or with infected animals. It can cause a painful rash or mucosal lesions which can last 2–4 weeks, enlarged lymph nodes and fever. This product serves as a powerful tool for related research efforts.

Application Notes (Clone): This antibody was used in the development of LNP-encapsulated mRNA molecule (mRNA-mab283-LNP) which provided protein when tested in vivo in mice infected with vaccinia virus (VACV) (PMID: 38531869).
