Mpox is an infectious disease caused by the monkeypox virus which can be transmitted to humans through physical contact with someone who is infectious, with contaminated materials, or with infected animals. It can cause a painful rash or mucosal lesions which can last 2–4 weeks, enlarged lymph nodes and fever. Monkeypox mortality rates range from 0%-11% in the general population and are higher in young children. In Q3 of 2024, the WHO declared monkeypox a Public Health Emergency of International Concern. This product serves as a powerful tool for related research efforts.

Application Notes (Clone): This antibody was used in the development of LNP-encapsulated mRNA molecule (mRNA-mab283-LNP) which provided protein when tested in vivo in mice infected with vaccinia virus (VACV) (PMID: 38531869).
