Calculated MW: 31

Positive Control: The peptide used to generate this antibody is available for purchase (GTX89785-PEP).

Specificity/Sensitivity: This antibody is expected to be specific for the beta2 isoform of capping protein, found in non-muscle cells and should not recognise the beta1 form.

Form: Liquid

Buffer (with preservative): TBS, 0.5% BSA, 0.02% Sodium azide.

Concentration: 0.50 mg/ml (Please refer to the vial label for the specific concentration.)

Background: This gene encodes the beta subunit of the barbed-end actin binding protein, which belongs to the F-actin capping protein family. The capping protein is a heterodimeric actin capping protein that blocks actin filament assembly and disassembly at the fast growing (barbed) filament ends and functions in regulating actin filament dynamics as well as in stabilizing actin filament lengths in muscle and nonmuscle cells. A pseudogene of this gene is located on the long arm of chromosome 2. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found.[provided by RefSeq, Aug 2013]

Uniprot ID: P47756

Antigen Species: Human

Immunogen: Peptide with sequence NDLVEALKRKQQC, from the C Terminus of the protein sequence according to NP_004921.1.

Purification: Purified by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by antigen affinity chromatography

Conjugation: Unconjugated

Full Name: capping actin protein of muscle Z-line subunit beta
