Application Note: Anti-Glucose Oxidase Antibody has been assayed against 1.0 ug of Glucose Oxidase [Aspergillus niger] in a standard ELISA using Peroxidase conjugated Affinity Purified anti-Rabbit IgG [H&L] (Rabbit) code #611-1302 and (ABTS (2,2’-azino-bis-[3-ethylbenthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid]) code # ABTS-100 as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature. A working dilution of 1:4,000 to 1:16,000 of the reconstitution concentration is suggested for Anti-Glucose Oxidase Antibody.

Immunogen: Glucose Oxidase [Aspergillus niger]
Physical State: Lyophilized
Purity and Specificity: Anti-Glucose Oxidase Antibody was prepared from monospecific antiserum by a delipidation and defibrination. Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-rabbit serum, purified and partially purified Glucose Oxidase [Aspergillus niger]. Cross reactivity against Glucose Oxidase from other tissues and species may occur but have not been specifically determined.
Background: Glucose Oxidase, first described in Aspergillus niger), catalyzes the oxidation of glucose into gluconic acid whilst in an aerobic environment. Glucose Oxidase is one of the most widely used biomarkers due to the large enthalpy change observed when it oxidizes glucose. Glucose oxidase can be used as a label in immunoassays when attached to antibodies and for staining tissues. In respect to glucose oxidases' ability to stain tissues, it is most commonly used to determine the levels of glucose in blood, serum, and plasma, as part of colorimetric assays. Anti-Glucose Oxidase Antibody is ideal for investigators in Immunology, Molecular Biology, and Hematology Research.
Low Endotoxin: No
