Description: IL-11, a versatile cytokine, is synthesized by stromal cells like fibroblasts, epithelial cells, and osteoclasts. Its expression spans various tissues such as the thymus, lung, bone, connective tissue, and central nervous system. IL-11 holds a crucial regulatory role in hematopoiesis by stimulating the growth of myeloid, erythroid, and megakaryocyte progenitor cells. Additionally, it influences bone metabolism, suppresses the production of proinflammatory cytokines, and provides protection against gastromucosal injury. Recombinant Human IL-11 is a 19.3 kDa protein comprising 179 amino acid residues.
