Background: TM4SF1, or Transmembrane 4 L6 Family Member 1, is a cell-surface protein that plays a role in cell migration, invasion, and angiogenesis. This protein is highly expressed on the tumor cell surface of many cancers, such as liver, breast, colorectal and prostate cancers. Antibody drugs and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) are currently in the research and clinical trial stages, and further research will open the door for more therapies targeting TM4SF1 and its family members.
