Target: WNK1 (pSer382)
Conjugate: Unconjugated
Product Type: Polyclonal
Immunogen: A phospho-specific peptide corresponding to residues surrounding Ser382 of human WNK1 (AA379-385)
Swiss-Prot: Q9H4A3
Purification: Peptide Affinity Purified
Storage Buffer: PBS pH7.4, 50% glycerol, 0.025% Thimerosal *Storage buffer may change when conjugated
Specificity: Detects 250.756 kDa.

Tissue Specificity: Highly expressed in the testis, heart, kidney and skeletal muscle. Isoform 3 is kidney-specific and specifically expressed in the distal convoluted tubule (DCT) and connecting tubule (CNT) of the nephron.
Scientific Background: WINK1 is a serine/threonine kinase which plays an important role in the regulation of electrolyte homeostasis, cell signalling, survival, and proliferation.WNK1 activates SCNN1A, SCNN1B, SCNN1D and SGK1. Exact mechanism of oncogenesis is unclear.
Field of Use: Not for use in humans. Not for use in diagnostics or therapeutics. For in vitro research use only.
