Cedarlane’santi-mouse CD44 (Pgp-1, Ly-24) monoclonal antibody recognizes a 95 kDa glycoproteinfound on most hematopoietic cells. It is thought to be important in theregulation of migratory properties of lymphocytes during development and theregulation of the interaction with bone marrow stromal cells duringhematopoiesis. CD44 functions as a receptor for hyaluronate, although somecells expressing CD44 do not bind hyaluronate.
