Specificity: Anti-CD8 beta In Vivo Antibody - Low Endotoxin (53-5.8) recognizes an epitope on mouse CD8b.2 and antibody clone 53-5.8 is specific for Ly-3.2 and has low reactivity with Ly-3.1.

Purification method: This monoclonal antibody was purified using multi-step affinity chromatography methods such as Protein A or G depending on the species and isotype.

Antigen Distribution: Majority of thymocytes, cytotoxic T cell subsets.

Background: CD8b is also known as Lyt-3.2 or Ly-3.2. It is a member of the Ig superfamily expressed as a heterodimer with the CD8A chain on a subset of MHC class I-restricted T cells and most thymocytes.

Immunogen: Mouse thymus or spleen.

Concentration: 1.0 - 5.0 mg/ml.

Formulation: 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline (PBS) pH 7.2, 150 mM NaCl with no carrier protein, potassium or preservatives added.
