Specificity Statement: This antibody binds the A29L protein of the monkeypox virus and cross reacts with A27L protein of vaccinia virus. Mpox is an infectious disease caused by the monkeypox virus which can be transmitted to humans through physical contact with someone who is infectious, with contaminated materials, or with infected animals. It can cause a painful rash or mucosal lesions which can last 2–4 weeks, enlarged lymph nodes and fever. Monkeypox mortality rates range from 0%-11% in the general population and are higher in young children. In Q3 of 2024, the WHO declared monkeypox
a Public Health Emergency of International Concern. This product serves as a powerful tool for related research efforts.
Application Notes (Clone): This antibody can detection A29L protein of monkeypox virus and A27L protein of vaccinia virus in a western blot assay. This antibody can be used as a labeling or detection antibody in a double antibody sandwich ELISA in combination with AbAb02-MPXV as a capture or coating antibody. The linear range of detection for this antibody pair is 23.44-1500pg/mL, and the lowest detection concentration is 2.65pg/mL (CN116239680).
