Antigen Long Description: The original antibody was isolated from a natural phage library by solid phase affinity panning the library against MPXV A35R protein.

Buffer Composition: PBS only.

Chimeric Use Statement: This chimeric mouse antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original VHH format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques.

Uniprot Accession No.: Q80KX2

Specificity Statement: This antibody binds the A35R protein of the Monkeypox virus. Mpox is an infectious disease caused by the monkeypox virus which can be transmitted to humans through physical contact with someone who is infectious, with contaminated materials, or with infected animals. It can cause a painful rash or mucosal lesions which can last 2–4 weeks, enlarged lymph nodes and fever. This product serves as a powerful tool for related research efforts.

Application Notes (Clone): This antibody can be used for the detection of A35R protein of the monkeypox virus through an ELISA. The binding affinity of the original VHH antibody for A35R protein of monkeypox virus was reported to be Kd= 54±6nM (CN116751285).
