Notes: Butin is a flavanone that has been found in B. monosperma and has diverse biological activities.{66740,66741,66742} It induces melanogenesis in B16/F10 melanoma cells when used at a concentration of 1 µM.{66740} Butin (1-4 µg/ml) decreases DNA damage induced by the actin polymerization inhibitor cytochalasin B (Item No. 11328) in isolated human peripheral blood lymphocytes in a cytokinesis-block micronucleus (CBMN) assay.{66741} In vivo, butin (5-20 mg/animal) inhibits implantation and decreases the number of pups when administered to pregnant rats.{66742} It increases uterine weight in ovariectomized rats when administered at a dose of 0.5 mg/animal.
