Description: This antobody reacts with the CD11c antigen. Human CD11c (alpha X integrin) complexes with CD18 (beta2 integrin) to form the complement receptor type 4 (CR4) heterodimer which binds to fibrinogen and is involved with monocyte/granulocyte adhesion during inflammatory responses. CD11c expression is restricted to leukocytes mainly of myeloid lineage with highest expression on macrophages.

This antibody reacts with the X chain of the CD11c/CD18 integrin heterodimer expressed on monocytes and weakly on granulocytes. The antibody stains macrophages in most types of tissues. In flow cytometry the antibody labels a T-cell subset and weakly a B-cell subset.
