Clone: HIT7.
Conjugate: FITC.
Immunogen: Human acute myelogenous leukaemia cell line KG1.
Storage Buffer: The reagent is provided in aqueous buffered solution containing protein stabilizer, and ≤0.09% sodium azide (NaN3).
Recommended Usage: CD7, clone HIT7, is a mAb intended for the identification/enumeration of human T cells using FCM. This reagent is effective for direct IF staining of human tissue for FCM analysis using ≤1 μg/106 cells.
Description: This antibody reacts with the CD7-antigen (3A1-antigen), which is expressed on human T lymphocytes. The monoclonal antibody reacts with the cells of the T lymphocyte linage, with the cells of patients with a Lymphocytic Leukaemia of the T lymphocyte origin, and with the cells of patients with the Sezary Syndrome. Platelets and cells of the B lymphocyte myelocytic and monocytic lineage are found negative.
This antibody reacts with the CD7 antigen, a 40kDa polypeptide. This is the earliest marker antigen expressed in the T cell lineage and is found on T cell precursors in fetal liver and thorax prior to thymic colonization and in bone marrow and the thymus. It is also to be found on a small subpopulation of normal B cells and on malignant B cells.
