Background: Jurkat cells were originally established from a human T lymphoblast. This cell line can be modified to express specific cell surface receptors and offers a physiologically relevant platform to evaluate cancer-directed immunotherapies. The Firefly Luciferase Jurkat Cell Line makes an excellent target for CAR-T or NK cells.

Description: Recombinant Jurkat cells constitutively expressing the firefly (Photinus pyralis) luciferase reporter  gene under the control of a CMV promoter.

Host Cell Line: Jurkat

Mycoplasma Testing: The cell line has been screened to confirm the absence of Mycoplasma species.

Storage Stability: Cells are shipped in dry ice and should immediately be thawed or stored in liquid nitrogen upon receipt. Do not use a -80°C freezer for long term storage.

Supplied As: Each vial contains 2 x 106 cells in 1 ml of cell freezing medium (BPS Bioscience, #79796)

Warnings: Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
