Applications: Useful for protein binding assays, screening inhibitors, and selectivity profiling.
Background: The CHD family of proteins is characterized by the presence of chromo (chromatin organization modifier) domains and SNF2-related helicase/ATPase domains. CHD genes alter gene expression possibly by modification of chromatin structure thus altering access of the transcriptional apparatus to its chromosomal DNA template.
Description: Human chromodomain helicase DNA binding protein 2, or CHD2, (GenBank Accession No. NM_001271) a.a. 260-456(end), with N-terminal GST-tag, MW=49.3 kDa, expressed in an E. coli cell expression system.
