Wegener's granulomatosis (WG) is very closely related to the anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCA). Especially those which are directed against proteinase 3 (PR3). ANCAs directed against myeloperoxidase (MPO) are associated with microscopic polyangiitis (MPA) and Churg-Strauss syndrome.
