siRNAs, shRNA plasmids and shRNA lentiviral particles are available for 100% of putative protein-coding human and murine genes.
shRNA lentiviral particles: shRNA lentiviral particles are also offered pooled from 3-5 expression constructs, each coding for a 19-25 nt (plus hairpin-loop) short shRNA. shRNA lentiviral particles are available as 200 μl transduction-ready viral particles for puromycin-selection stable knock-down of a gene product in human or murine cells. The appropriate RT-PCR primers or antibodies for the control of the knock-down on RNA or protein level are listed on the data sheet of the respective RNAi product.
shRNAs: The shRNA Plasmid DNA Gene Silencers are offered as a mixture of 3-5 plasmids. Each plasmid codes for a 19-25 nt (plus the coding of the hairpin loop) shRNA sequence. shRNA plasmids are offered as 20 μg transfection-ready plasmid DNA for the transient, or by puromycin selection also stable, knock-down of a defined gene product. siRNAs: siRNAs are pooled and usually consist of 3 different 19-25 nt short, double-stranded RNA sequences, which are specifically designed for the effective knock-down of a gene product.
Each siRNA tube contains 3 nmol lyophilized siRNA mixture and is sufficient for about 50-100 transfections according to the siRNA protocol. The 19-25 nt RNA sequences used in the mixture can also be purchased separately.

The PHOTOPROBE® and Fast-Tag® Nucleic Acid Labeling System is suitable for multiple labeling of nucleic acids along the entire length of the sample. The original nucleic acid building blocks are neither destroyed nor does a copy have to be made - the integrity of the original is preserved.
PHOTOPROBE® System: Here, biotin or amino groups are attached to the nucleic acids in a single reaction step. Hapta, affinity tags or fluorochromes can be bound to the latter. The nucleic acid can also be easily immobilized on a matrix.
FastTag® System: Here disulfide-containing "universal linkers" are used. After binding the linker and reducing the disulfide bridge, various thiol-reactive markers can covalently bind to it.
5' EndTag™ and 3' EndTag™ Labeling System: Where internal labeling is not possible or interfering (e.g., if interference from hybridization experiments can occur, or if sequence-specific protein binding is inhibited as a result), Vector offers these systems. Different fluorescent dyes, haptens or affinity tags can be covalently bound to the ends of nucleic acids. Reactive thiol-containing labels can thus be easily incorporated.
