Positive Control SARS-CoV-2

REDx™ SARS-CoV-2 Positive Control (Swab) CE IVD:

The REDx™ FLOQ® SARS-CoV-2 Swab Positive Control is a dry, untested* whole genome (cDNA) control used to monitor the performance, procedures, and workflow of laboratory testing using nucleic acid assays (NATs) for the detection of SARS-CoV -2 in swab specimens from the human nasopharynx, oropharyngeal region, middle turbinate region and anterior nostrils. This SARS-CoV-2 positive swab must be eluted before use (usually described in the instructions for use of the extraction method of choice) and can be stored at room temperature.

REDx™ SARS-CoV-2 Positive Control (Vial) CE IVD:

The REDx™ SARS-CoV-2 Positive Control (Vial) is also an untested* whole genome (cDNA) control designed to monitor the performance, procedures and workflow of laboratory testing using nucleic acid assays (NATs) to detect SARS-CoV-2 in samples from the human nasopharynx, the oropharyngeal region, the region of the middle turbinate, the anterior nostrils and the lower airways. The difference here is that the positive control REDx™ SARS-CoV-2 (Vial) is formulated with the entire SARS-CoV-2 cDNA genome and human fibroblast cells in a cell suspension, the elution step is omitted and the control can be used directly in the extraction assay. Storage is necessary at 2-8 °C.
