ABSOLUTE ANTIBODY

Absolute Antibody was founded in Oxford, UK in 2012 with the vision that all scientists can use recombinant antibodies that are completely defined by their amino acid sequence. This view was backed up in 2015 with a commentary from Bradbury and Plückthun in the journal Nature.

Recombinant antibodies are produced by expressing synthetic genes in vitro in a mammalian cell line. The advantages are e.g. purity, reproducibility, reduced production time and a production process without animal breeding.
