Scientific Background: Midostaurin is a broad spectrum protein kinase inhibitor. It also shows inhibition of PKCα, PKCβ and PKCγ isoforms, Flk, and c-kit. Midostaurin displays antiproliferative characteristics and the ability to induce apoptosis.
