Additional info: HE-193 recognizes human blood group A (monofucosyl and difucosyl A antigens with chain types 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6,) and Forssmann antigen, which is normally not found in humans, but can appear on malignancies. De novo or increased expression of these antigens have been observed on some tumor tissues such as gastric carcinomas, urothelial carcinomas, and colon carcinomas. HE-193 does not react with normal tissue sections of donors with blood group B and 0 but it reacts specifically with malignant tissues in these individuals. HE-193 is applicable for red cell agglutination, tissue staining and immunofluorescence tests
