Additional info: EBS-I-002 reacts with a soluble excreted antigen in ELISA. This determinant is unaffected by frozen storage of specimens, unlike antibodies to flagellar antigens which require fresh cultured organism. Positive: C. jejuni, type 1 (K807, K858, K634) Type 2, C. coli, C. hyointestinalis, C lardis. Crossreacts with Staphylococcus aureus and weakly with Pseudomonas fluorescens.Negative: C. fetus, C. fetus intestinals, C. faecalis, H. pylori, Listeria monocytogenes, Actinomycesisraelii, E. coli, Lactobacillus casei, Bacillus cereus, C. freundi, Salmonella Virchow,Streptococcus faecalis and Enterobacter aerogenes.
