Background: Influenza virus is a single-stranded RNA virus, segmented, 70nm in diameter and enveloped. Strains are described by geographic origin, strain number, year of isolation and hemagglutination (H) and neuraminidase (N) antigens.
Positive Control: Recognizes Influenza virus type A (hemagglutinin). Reacts with hemagglutinin of H1 serotype.
Immunogen: Purified influenza virus type A strain H1N1, A/New Caledonia/20/99 strain.
Purification Method: Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography (? 95% SDS-PAGE).
