Products from BPS Bioscience require a minimum order value above 400€
Encompassing Amino Acids: 2-end
Applications: Useful for the study of enzyme kinetics, screening inhibitors, and selectivity profiling.
Assay Conditions: A 50 µl PKM2 reaction is conducted in abuffer containing 50 mM Tris (pH 7.4),100 mM MgCl2, 250 mM KCl, 40 mM ADP,100 mM phosphoenolpyruvate (PEP) atroom temperature for 15 min. ATPproduction is detected using Kinase-GloLuminescent Kinase Assay Platform.
Background: PKM1 and PKM2 are different splicing products of the PKM gene (exon 9 for PKM1 and exon 10 for PKM2). The M1 isoform (PKM1) is expressed in muscle and brain, and the M2 isoform is expressed during embryogenesis, in adipose tissue and pancreatic islets, and is the predominant form found in cancer cells.
Description: Murine Pyruvate kinase M2 (PKM2), also known as PKM1/M2, isoform a (GenBank Accession No. NM_011099), a.a. 2-end, with N-terminal His-tag, MW = 58 kDa, expressed in an E. coli expression system.
